Wow, I Guess Everyone Really Hates Bryson DeChambeau

There is another major this weekend, so naturally it's time for Bryson DeChambeau to start making excuses. After Bryson hit only 4 of 14 fairways in the first round of The Open, he had some unfavorable comments about his driver.

“The Driver Sucks,” said DeChambeau.

Notice how he said “the” driver sucks rather than “my” driver sucks. Well, the tour operations manager for Cobra Golf, the company who supplies Bryson with his driver, sure noticed and was rightfully pissed off.

Bryson is constantly making excuses for his lackluster play and it has really gotten annoying. It’s always the wind, the fire ants, or the equipment for his bad day, never himself.

Ben Schomin, The Cobra Golf representative, said Bryson’s comments were incredibly stupid and that he’s never been happy with the company.

Shocker.

This is just another installment of what has been a tough PR year for Bryson. He is the obvious loser in his ongoing rivalry with Brooks Koepka. His caddie ditched him, he was a weirdo at The Match, and now his sponsors are complaining about how much of an ass he is. No one fucking likes the guy. Do you really think Koepka is the only golfer on tour that can’t stand him? I highly doubt it.

I would almost feel bad for Bryson if he wasn’t a huge douchebag. The worst part about him is that his personality seems so manufactured. As if he wasn’t popular in high school and now that he’s relatively famous he thinks this is how “cool” people are supposed to act.

The really embarrassing part is he says he doesn’t care what other people think about him, but the way he carries himself says otherwise. I guarantee he goes to bed every night and thinks, “why don’t people like me?”

Well, Bryson, it’s because you're difficult! From other tour pros, golf officials, equipment companies and even his own damn caddie; people are fed up with his attitude. All he does is bitch and moan about everything when instead he should just keep quiet and focus on hitting bombs.

Maybe one day Bryson will understand no one likes him like fellow PGA tour villain Patrick Reed. Until then, we’re going to continue seeing headlines like this one and hearing Brooksy from the sidelines.
