The winner of the 2021 World Series will be the Bay Area favorites: San Francisco Giants

I know what you’re thinking, a Rangers fan saying the Giants will win it all! I’m swallowing my pride and telling you the truth.

I believe they will face the resourceful Tampa Bay Rays in the fall classic this year. I know that this article won’t gain me any popularity points down in Florida because I’m picking them to lose their second consecutive World Series.

I’ll give the Rays some major props because I thought they were gonna be dog crap this year. They traded Blake Snell, one of their best starting pitchers, to the San Diego Padres. They’re in the AL East with the Red Sox, the young and explosive Toronto Blue Jays, and the rich and powerful New York Yankees. It’s a competitive division every year, and that’s regardless if the Yankees try to break the bank to get the biggest free agent.

How do they stay at the top of the division??

Well that’s where the reigning AL manager of the year, Kevin Cash, comes into play. Ever since Cash took over the reins, the Rays have been in contention to be the best team in that crowded AL East division. He’s kept them with a solid .600 percent winning percentage, and knows how to get the most out of his players.

Despite him taking out Blake Snell in Game 6 of the World Series last year, which probably cost the Rays the championship, Cash has been money for the Rays.

I don’t want to call the Rays the loveable losers but I mean, it’s hard not to because they are.

It’s looking like the Dodgers won’t repeat this year because they can’t even win their division against the San Francisco Giants.

The Giants are currently sitting at 95 wins, leading the defending champs by two and a half games in their division with less than twenty games left in the regular season.

The Giants literally came out of nowhere to win the division. The Dodgers just won the World Series. Most everyone thought the Dodgers would do the same this year, however this y won’t be the case.

The Giants leaned on experienced superstars like Buster Posey and Brandon Belt. If we’re being honest, I didn't think the Giants would make the playoffs because I thought they were on the older side. I was wrong. They probably had the most shocking trade deadline move this year, acquiring Kris Bryant from the Cubs, which added to their already championship level pedigree.

Ever since that deal, the Giants haven’t looked back and are a surefire bet to make it to the Fall classic.

God, do I love playoff baseball.

My money is on San Fran, home of the Say Hey Kid.
