The NFL will be awarding $4 milly to study, prevent, and treat hamstring injuries, according to an ESPN report. All I have to say is, THANK GOD.

Hamstring injuries are the most common injury in the league, and every NFL fan base has at least one guy who is currently on their team that is constantly nagged by a hammy. One guy that comes to mind is former Cowboys receiver Miles Austin, who was on the injury report pretty much every week of his career with something hamstring related.

If this research pans out it will have massive implications for fantasy football. Stars like Devante Adams, Austin Ekeler, and literally anyone on your team will have a better chance to go out and play. This research could make America’s new favorite pastime even better than it already is.

This will be a burden lifted off fantasy owners shoulders as they will no longer have to incessantly check the injury report to see how their #1 receivers hamstrings are doing. No more, will fantasy owners have to lie about the injury status of a guy they want to trade to the last place team. The world will be a better place knowing I can finally get some sleep without having to worry about who I’m picking up on the waiver wire because Julio Jones' hamstrings will be in pristine condition.

I never thought I’d say this… but thank you NFL! You have actually made a decision that will better the lives of everyday Americans, that’s a first.
