So turns out the Dolphins are still trying to trade for Deshaun Watson?

Another bombshell in the Deshaun Watson offseason has just dropped this week after reports have surfaced that the Dolphins are still in trade talks with the Texans.

So what does it all mean exactly? Well, for starters, it means that they don’t believe in Tua Tagovailoa. They have such little faith in him that they’re willing to part with a butt load of draft capital for a guy who’s still in the middle of 26 (!) sexual assault allegations.

Tua didn’t exactly have a great rookie season, and I’d rather have Watson (the football player) as my QB, but son of a bitch was Tua’s training camp really that bad?

It also means that the Dolphins may have reason to believe that Watson can overcome these allegations. The NFL is a multi-billion dollar industry so there’s no way that the Fins haven’t done the proper homework to make a move of this magnitude.

One interesting bit from reports is that during these trade negotiations the Dolphins are wanting to put restrictions on the draft picks they send. Meaning that if Watson is guilty and misses time then they can get some back, which is basically the Dolphins telling their fans that they’re not completely confident their next franchise QB isn’t all peaches and cream.

But honestly, who fucking knows? The accuser’s clout chasing lawyer, Tony Buzbee, has gone quiet since his brash press conferences a few months ago, and Watson’s legal team wants everything about the deals being made to become public knowledge. Something that isn’t necessarily normal for a defendant.

Then again, there are 26 accusers all claiming similar instances of assault. At this point in time I’m not 100% sure I would call for Watson’s head just yet, but I damn sure wouldn’t want my team to be trading for him under any circumstances.
