Last night was not ideal; ending with a 0-3 reverse sweep. Seton Hall needed to make free throws and start putting teams away, also Drake laid an egg at home. That Drake game should never have been close. Enough living in the past; let's get into tonight's slate. I have two Mid-Major games on deck I feel very confident in. Let's get this train back on its tracks.

NCAAB

North Dakota State @ Western Illinois (+1)

We start in the Summit, where North Dakota State travels to Macomb to take on the Leathernecks of Western Illinois. North Dakota State comes in 4-1 in their last five games and 3-2 in their last five road games. An interesting trend I found is that the Bison are 0-3 in their last three against the spread. On the other side, Western Illinois comes in 2-3 in their last five and 1-4 in their last five home games. These two squared off back on January 22nd when Western Illinois beat down the Bison (90-79).

In my opinion, North Dakota State is the better team, and oddsmakers tried to make this a trap line. But it didn’t work considering 86% of the money is coming in on North Dakota State, with only 22% of the bets following them. another thing to consider is that beating a team twice in conference play is a tall task for any squad, especially with these coaches being so familiar with each other.

Let's dive into the numbers. The Bison are the number one team defending the three, and the Leatherheads are near the bottom of the league in shooting the three. The Bison are also better in both offensive and defensive efficiency. Everything about this matchup points me towards North Dakota State.

Pick: North Dakota State ML +105 1 (Unit)

Northeastern @ Deleware( -6)  O/U (136.5)

Next, we head to the Colonial, where Northeastern travels to Delaware to take on the Blue Hens. Northeastern comes in 1-4 in their last five games and 1-4 in their previous five road games against the spread. On the other hand, the Blue Hens come in with a respectable 3-2 record in their last five. The one thing that threw me for a loop….  Delaware is 0-4-1 against the spread in their previous five home games.

In my opinion, Delaware is the better team. They have fallen off the tracks a little in recent weeks, but I think a game against Northeastern is a perfect way to right the ship. Northeastern is coming off a surprising win against Towson and is looking to build towards next year as they finish out their conference schedule.

Let's dive into the numbers. Delaware is has a very high offensive efficiency rate coincided with a very sub-par defensive efficiency rate. Northeastern on the other hand is terrible at both offensive and defensive efficiency. The one thing they do well is offensive rebounding. If this turns into a track meet and the Huskies can get on the offensive glass, this over could hit pretty easily with it sitting at 136.5.

Pick: Northeastern @ Delaware Over 136.5 (1 Unit) & Delaware -6 (1 Unit)
