Can We Go Back to Waiting?

The long wait for Wahsingtons new team name is finally over. The list has been whittled down from literally thousands of options and two years of work they have settled on… the Commanders?
The jokes literally write themselves. I can’t wait for all the “Tank Commanders” memes we’re going to get when they start 1-7 next year. To pair with the underwhelming name the logos and uniforms are lackluster as well.
They even somehow managed to screw up the W. During their time as the “Football Team” the W logo was clean and simple. For some reason they felt the need to spice it up, and man it’s a miss.
The added lines just do too much. Like a freshman graphic design major trying to add some pizazz to his midterm. The circle logo is also a snoozer.
As for the uniforms, they somehow made a more XFL looking uni set than the Jets. I mean how do you fuck up with that color scheme?
Just let the colors do the work, it's really that simple. The Football Team unis were honestly some of the best in the league, and they replaced it with these. The numbers on the white jerseys have that weird design going on inside the numbers that remind of the diamondbacks old jerseys, c’mon man.
My question for the Commanders is how did they somehow manage to create a better name, logo, and uniform set in the two months after they were forced to, than the two years (!) they had to make a permanent one.
Is it too late to go back to the Football Team?
