Announcing The GTD Sports March Madness Bracket Challenge
After a long and dreadful one-year hiatus, March Madness is back and bracketology is in full swing. That selection Sunday show hit differently this year as it feels like its been forever since we’ve been able to experience the thrill of nonstop upsets and buzzer beaters on college basketball’s biggest stage.
Being that March Madness is right around the corner we at GTD Sports have decided to create our very own bracket challenge where you, the audience, can compete against us, the writers. Whoever finishes first place amongst the non-staffers will win the opportunity to appear as a guest on the Going The Distance Podcast alongside Ryan Bunnell and Elijah Spann to break down their winning bracket and talk college hoops.
The GTD Sports bracket challenge is held on the ESPN Tournament Challenge app and can be accessed via search on the app or this link:
Just to lay out some ground rules and reiterate the potential prize for the winner:
There will be only one bracket entry per user, so choose that champion wisely
Joining and leaving the group as well as editing your bracket is locked as soon as the first round tips off
The group is public and can be found by searching “GTD Sports Challenge” on the ESPN TC app
The winner will be granted the opportunity to appear as a guest on the Going The Distance Podcast
This year’s first round matchups already look like they are going to be nuts. There has been an abundance of COVID-related issues for some programs like Virginia and Kansas, so we could be strapped in for an array of upsets this Friday.
If you are having trouble making your picks or just want to see who our staff is picking this year, make sure to tune into the first ever LIVE episode of the Going The Distance Podcast on Twitch starting Wednesday, March 17 at 8:00 p.m. CST.
Good luck to all participants who join the bracket challenge, we can’t wait to see who comes out on top!
